The MEWN Crèche was registered with the Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW) in December 2007. We are able to cater for 12 children, 5 children between 3 months and 2 years and 7 children between 2 and 4 years.
We have four staff members who are all experienced and qualified or working towards their qualifications. We also benefit from having volunteers working with us.

The MEWN Crèche is open to the Women who attend classes at the office. Crèche space is limited so we operate on afirst come first serve basis.

Our philosophy

To have happy babies and children in a safe stimulated environment. To work in partnership with the child's family to provide the best care possible. Our motivated staff are loving, caring and sensitive to the children’s needs.
At Crèche the children are taught through the medium of English, this prepares them for school life.

This year another staff member has obtained the Cache Childcare qualification Level 3.This provides us with two staff members now holding this qualification. Staff members have also attended courses on Equal Opportunities and I.T.

Most of the children attending Playgroup are in school for half a day, either nursery or flying start, Playgroup then provides some childcare for the other half of the day.

Activities at the Hafod playgroup include:
Arts and crafts, Story telling, face painting and lots more.
