MEWN - BME Employment for all

 

This project is funded by European Social Fund (ESF) in partnership with All Wales Ethnic Minority Association (AWEMA)

 

Aims:

  • Increasing Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) Employment and Tackle BME Economic Inactivity
  • Enable participants to take the first steps to engaging with the relevant employment agencies.

What we provide:

For the community:

 

  • Empowering women through learning and education
  • Encourage women into employment
  • Encourage women into further training
  • Providing tailored support to each individual
  • Help create CV’s
  • Help complete application forms
  • Provide a wide range of up to date job vacancies for people to access within their community
  • Conduct job searches
  • Provide volunteering opportunities

For the service providers:

  • Bridging the gap between the Black Minority communities and service providers
  • Work with partners and colleagues on providing progression routes into further education and training
  • Promote best practice through collaborative work and networking
